Introducing ‘DON Dish of the Day’, where we bring you a new recipe each week from acclaimed chefs working at some of your favourite restaurants. Our chefs will shake up the weekday monotony by adding a delicious DON twist to some easy family favourites. What’s more, across the ‘DON Dish of the Day’ series, DON will be donating up to 40,000 meals to Australians in need via Foodbank*.

Chicken, Ham & Ginger Dumplings - By Victor Liong (Lee Ho Fook & CHUKKA)
Victor Liong, an Australian with Chinese/Malaysian heritage was in search of his culinary identity and looking to forge a deeper connection with his culture. After landing a job in his early 20s with chef Dan Hong at Marque, Victor discovered a new way to embrace his love of food and explore his cultural roots. Victor has gone on to open Lee Ho Fook in Melbourne’s CBD and CHUUKA in Sydney, bringing together traditional Chinese dishes and flavours with the modern flair of Australian cuisine. Born and raised in Argentina, Dan’s driving passion is food and, most of all, honesty when it comes to food. His food style is multi-faceted combining influences from his French training, Australian lifestyle and South American heritage. Formerly the Head Chef at Fenix and Made establishment’s Hellenic Hotel and Hellenic Republic, Dan has returned to his homeland roots and is currently head chef at Asado, as well as the owner of Dan’s Empanada Bar. Maria grew up in a family passionate about food, so it was no surprise that at 18 she left her home country of Estonia to pursue a culinary education in the United Kingdom. After studying and working full time, Maria travelled to Australia and took on a position at Spanish institution, Anada. She quickly climbed her way to the top as head chef before joining the family-owned winery, Tokar Estate. Watch her create a tasty Paella using DON® Thinly Sliced Chicken Breast and DON® Chorizo!
